La Grenadella Beach

Quiet cove of almost wild exuberance south of the coast of Jávea. Ideal for scuba diving. It is accessed via a road that runs alongside a thick Mediterranean pine forest.

La GranadellaThe Granadella is located in the southernmost area of ​​Jávea and enjoys its own history with the construction of the Granadella, a small fortification built in the 18th century, with the exterior facing lined with rough stone and which was occupied by a garrison of three men and two bronze cannons.

From this viewpoint, the gaze spills into the sea like the pine forest that starts from its plain.

The Castell de la Granadella is located on the “hill” that closes the tail of the Granadella to the southeast, at the southern end of the Jávea district preserved remains correspond or a small “horseshoe” fortification built in 1739 on a tower previous XV century. A few meters from this building, a well with a rectangular floor plan and a covered roof, which would supply water to the Castell garrison, is maintained in a fairly good state of preservation.
